Bro. I just got home from my band's marching band meeting. We were going to decide on what show to do. My friends and I created and wanted to do a pop punk show. Out songs were: American idiot, Mr brightside, still into you, and thnks fr th mmrs. The only other show that was done on the spreadsheet was a John show, only because our band directors name is John. But no other show was done, so we listened to the pop punk show. The sophomores were saying they wanted the John show and all of the future seniors were getting pissed off because we hate that idea. But my director he spent an hour helping people find music for THEIR ideas that THEY were supposed to already have music for. A 30 minute meeting is still going on as I typed it. I left after 1 hour and 40 minutes. But the director said 55 year olds in the audience wouldn't recognize our songs, not true. And then he went around and said if we want to do a Broadway show, the halftime show is just for the band. You can't just put one show down saying we need to think about the audience and promote another saying the halftime show is for us. All of the Broadway songs they want are slow or are slow and speed up. We can't March to those songs in parades, but we can March to pop punk. The future juniors have another year, but we don't and I don't want another show that sucks for my senior year. Last season we did Elvis then precilla came out in the middle of our season. I told my friends if the show that we choose sucks, I would quit and move the surgery I need (that I scheduled around marching band) up 3 months.
