Thank you so much for voting and commenting on The Last Witch. You are amazing and you made my day. Lots of love to you

I'm also concerned with the progress rate but I'm patient. And also, Aliss at first just assumes magic is given at random. That's why she doesn't question it but then she learns a whole lot more that are in the very last chapters.
Thank you for the feedback. It's always important to get constructive criticism. I appreciate it.

@Josy_Riday I'm a bit thrown off with lacking numbers. I like the story thus far & it's paced well. I think I would've liked more curiosity from the MC in regards to being a witch. However, idk if that'll be more explored in the late chapters.

I thought I'll come poke around on your wall to give thanks, and plenty of that. I just can't express how much I appreciate it that you took the time to first click on Whispered Kiss, vote for it and then the best, to leave comments! Can I honestly ask why there are an abundant amount of swirl books but not enough blackxblack books outside of the hood genre? Im truly sadden by this.

MelaninMagik

@Breloyal Yes I go through a lot of ideas before I settle on one. I wanted to do something Olivia Pope-ish but it never comes together. There are such great artists who do that genre and do many others so well. I think another thing is a lot of people see LGBT and say okay maybe I'll give this a go. And then they see that the character is a poc and they're like ummm u-turn. Its disheartening but then you have people who get engrossed in the story and pass it along and it's a great feeling.

I find myself almost reaching a thousand followers and it's so amazing to me still. I'm planning a massive cross-over with the characters from my story to commemorate the milestone.

@BeholdthenextSupreme And let's keep it that way. Lol! I see what you're saying but I would think an interracial couple would require more. Then again, since it is promoted so much in television maybe not. I'm tired of the sunken place Authors. Shade maybe..? but truth it is.

When it comes to dating everyone has their own thing they like. Moreover, such likes birth types, fetishes, and programmed thoughts. I do enjoy a bxb book don't know where that enjoyment came from. Lol! What I'm tired of in books written to represent your love is the dude is always a light bright or a papi and this is coming from a part mami. Its like across the board straight or gay blacks go out their way to lessen or remove who they are with whom they date. The colorism in these bxb books is appalling. It's ok to use all shades of characters but when three to maybe five light skinned dudes are constantly used then stripped of their ancestry and given a new one I walk right away from the book. I seen on a few books people who comment where are the brown and dark skinned characters. Writing doesn't have to include all writing as a whole should thus diversity. If this book isn't for you keep it K.I.M. until you find the one that is. Its difficult because you're one of giving us a spotlight in the magick genre but my girl @Ceaselessmind is another who was like we do this to and it's so well written. It does touch social injustices so I do understand that struggle to include such appropriately.

@Breloyal lol W.C. is off limits. To be completely honest, my focus up until now has been getting a poc established as someone who can hold a book and be intriguing. I've been concerned with showing a strong if not flawed black and gay character that my reader can root for and hate his decisions sometimes. The difference between mixed couples in stories and black couples would honestly be those hurdles you mentioned. It's hard to write a story discussing the full spectrum of being black in America (or wherever the story is set) and also capturing what's special about the genre. There are do many nuances in with black couples that frankly aren't there in mixed couples. It's not to say mixed couples are easier or they aren't complicated to write but it's a different kind of vibe and set of issues.
