"Night in Zagreb" is a novel written by Adam Medvidović, a writer from Europe. It is the first part of his series "Đavolja noć"! The series currently has four parts, but it continues, so we can expect more installments in the future, much to the delight of the community of millions of faithful followers of "Đavolja noć" worldwide, of which I am one.
As I am a professional novel critic from New York I have known the book for a long time and the history it has, so I can speculate on claims. According to various reader portals, forums, and websites, it has already been praised as the greatest novel of all time. The series has attained cult status worldwide, especially among the part of the reading audience that considers itself demanding and rejects what could be called "mainstream crap". Admittedly, mainstream literature also includes many books that rightfully capture attention, but bookstore shelves are also cluttered with many publications that stand on those undeserved pedestals because their authors are backed by publishers who have invested a lot of money in promoting those products.
"Đavolja noć" is the opposite of that. The book was never advertised anywhere by anyone because the author of the book is just an ordinary person from Europe who began his writing career when a publishing house in Eastern Europe released "Night in Zagreb," which immediately gained cult status in Slavic countries in Europe because, from the very beginning, the book was accompanied by the echo that it wasn't "just a novel." The book is written as a novel, but soon rumors spread that the book has a "revealing" effect and that almost everything written in the book is the truth concerning the European and Christian future and past. Reporting from New York, Brian Deville.
