Sometimes when I'm reading I get lost in the texts, I focus, and very little can pull me away. Anyone have any tips on how use that same focus when writing?

I don't usually post anything, but I'm trying to knock out chapters for my fan-fics, at the same time writing my own story, one that won't be published until I can post at least two a week for a month after being edited. But life is crazy and its always an up hill battle, but I'm working on it. But I'm always up for new ideas!
