A lot of people can cook, but it takes a special set of skills to be an executive chef like Brian Algee. Success involves making sure dishes are of consistent quality and are served in a timely manner. Executive chefs are also responsible for ensuring a facility's profitability. It is their responsibility to identify and solve problems with the food, the vendors, the kitchen staff and the clientele. Their day starts with early morning delivery and doesn't end until every last dish has been put away.
