Hardly a Hero is a literary serial about an angry, genetically altered man's self-discovery journey while taking on evil foes and learning his true origins. 


Before his father's untimely death, Jonny Jäger channeled his depression and immense anger issues into martial arts. While in high school, something more than puberty mysteriously manifested within young Jonny, causing heightened strength, speed, and uncanny healing abilities. With help from his Filipino mentor and stepfather, Cisco Conté, and MMA training legend Francisco de Matos, Jonny was destined to be a superstar in professional fighting.

Jonny's fate took a drastic turn when losing his temper at the championships, where he crippled his opponent and was banned for life from professional fights.  After disappointing his family and mentors, his depression worsened.

Unenthusiastically, Jonny continues with his day job of commercial real estate in Los Angeles when circumstances whirled him into vigilantism where he confronts a buxom and vicious foe, La Pirata. With the help of an empath, Charier, Jonny learned that he is not alone with developed extraordinary abilities. He soon realizes how much influence organized crime had in molding his life and how crossing over lines has become blurred. Will he be able to regain his focus and find out who he really is?
