I'm blessed to have a wonderful marriage to my best friend and greatest mentor. We have two brilliant and kids, who I learn from every day.

Teaching is my passion - in a variety of forms. I'm grateful to be on the faculty at California State University, Northridge (C.S.U.N.). I teach intercultural communication, organizational communication, interpersonal communication, and advanced public speaking. I started teaching at C.S.U.N. way back when I was a graduate student, and I've loved every moment of it ever since - even the challenging moments, because they've helped me grow the most. 

My consulting business, Sampson Coaching and Consulting, has been thriving for over two decades. Beloved clients such as Google, Mattel, and the Los Angeles Alliance for Children's Rights provide me with the privilege of developing and facilitating training that helps to improve the lives and relationships of countless professionals.

All of my work is rewarding, fulfilling, and energizing. I meet inspiring and successful people who share their wisdom with me regularly. It couldn't really get much better. Well... I do have one more little dream I'm working on making a reality. I want to be a published author. I write fiction and nonfiction. I plan to post samples of my work here for feedback from friends, family, strangers, and anyone else who's interested in reading and/or sharing thoughts with me.
