Before I entered kindergarten, I would rip off the pretty, glossy covers of my mom's old birthday cards and use those as the covers for my own "books." Those days were spend writing stories about fluffy bunnies, puppies and penguins.
Really.
Now I write speculative fiction. Oftentimes there is a horror element to it. Blood. Death. Darkness. All that jazz.
During the day, I work a very demanding marketing job, working with impatient clients and a loopy boss. But in my off-hours, I write! Hopefully well enough to make something of myself one day.
I'm always practicing and improving my craft. Praise is always nice but critiques are worshiped!
