Hey. So, if I understand correctly, y'all couldn't enter your stories based on when they were published. If that's the case, the hosts running the Wattys contest want stories created after their deadline. If they want stories after January 1, 2023, then all stories must be created afterward. We can hover over the story status (whether complete or ongoing) in the browser to see when a story was first made. For the Wattys, the creation date must be after January 2023, which is why stories created in 2022 or before (even if they are rewritten and posted) is not eligible. The hosts do not want to blatantly say that they look for creation dates, but they do. Too many people unpublish their chapters and republish with a new publishing date listed in the chapters. The contest will say, "Anything posted after their date is eligible," but really, the stories are not. To enter a story, a writer needs to create a new book to adhere the contests' guidelines. The creation dates matter for Wattpad, which is why I stopped entering contests on my main account. The contests are rigged anyway.
