Hello! It has been a while. I graduated college recently and it's currently very hard searching for a good work/private life balance. I haven't had the time to write yet, but so excited to return. Also, I can NOT wait for season 3 of itwv!

Hi guys, question! When you start a fanfiction, what in the first chapter makes you click the fanfiction away? Curious to opinions!

Combustible_Lemon

@Browns_storybook I get turned off by things like bad grammar or a lack of detail. I also do not like it when writers include things that are out of place in the setting. An example of this would be a story set in a fantasy world and they describe a character that is wearing an Italian suit. If it is a fantasy world then Italy should not even exist.

@ Browns_storybook It's just like reading the first chapter of an actual book or watching the first episode of a show — the first impression matters a lot if u either get compelled to continue or not. Whenever I personally appreciate the style of a writer and the first introduction to the characters in a fanfiction, I most likely continue reading. What matters to me is that the main structure of the characters that belong to someone else are as close to the original as possible. Whatever kind of plot or own characters the writer introduces to the fanfiction is of course the writer's choice. But if I get the feeling that I just don't see the personality and charm of the character of someone elses work, I don’t continue. I'm not talking about stealing or such, or copy and paste, but a fanfiction should somehow show an appreciation of the original work and have the spark of ur own creativity. It's like keeping the facade of a house, but still making it ur own

Hi everyone, as you noticed I have not worked on damned for a long while. This is because school is taking up all my time with essays, and it’s given me a writers block. I don’t know how to end the story. I’m done with school soon so hopefully it’ll return to me!

@Combustible_Lemon Ofcourse! When I finish it I'll make sure there's a pdf <3

@Browns_storybook You are very welcome. Unfortunately I do not have premium but would it be possible to download a pdf of this story? I just enjoy the story so much that I would love to have a copy in case you decide to close your account. If it is not possible then I understand. I look forward to the revisions.

Next chapter is taking a bit longer as I'm not sure where I wanna head with it yet! Not completely, at least.

@Browns_storybook Feel free to take a look at mine, it's a short fanfic same genre. I only have the first 3 chapters right now, so it's a short read. Take care!
