These days, the situation in Jammu and Kashmir is really bad because of the ongoing conflict between India and Pakistan. Many people have been killed, and there are frequent blackouts. Most people in India are unaffected—they sit in their air-conditioned rooms and easily talk about war. But it’s the people of Kashmir who suffer. We live near the borders; we are the first in line. We’ve been experiencing this pain since 1947, since the occupation began. We have bled, and we are still bleeding.
We have lost enough. We don’t want this. We don’t want to lose anything anymore.
Jammu and Kashmir is not a place for war.
Pray for Jammu and Kashmir. Pray for Kashmir.
May Allah have mercy on us all. May He forgive our sins, help us through these times, and bring this suffering to an end.
Ameen.
