Somebody just accused me of using ai, and I feel this needs to be addressed. I loathe ai, I absolutely hate it, I think its a soul sucking machine that makes people lazy and uncreative. I use em dashes and oxford commas like breathing, I always have even in my earlier writing days. I also use Grammarly which makes everything I write grammatically correct, which means adding semi-colons and (again) oxford commas.
I am also diagnosed autistic, I over explain to get my points across, this may present itself in me using flashy language or over analysing something, which people like to say is evidence of ai.
Which is another thing people seem to forget, ai is fed fanfictions from sites like ao3 and wattpad to better learn the way we as humans write, it’s frightening and for writers like me who have spent years creating works, it’s disheartening and honestly soul crushing to be accused of ai.
Right now I’m working on season 5 of Marley, I unabashedly use oxford commas and em-dashes, semi-colons and whatever because it is the way I write. I will not apologize for writing grammatically correct.
