I kinda miss how fun the inanimate insanity fandom was during the inanimateronpa days
like yeah inanimateronpa wasn't Great and the creator sucked but we were all having so much fun and we were all filled with joy and whimsy :(((
I feel like as time passes the II fandom gets more and more hesitant to get into bigger fan projects like that. I would love for there to be another larger thing like inanimateronpa for the entire II fandom to get together and have fun with again.
idk. I miss being able to interact with this fandom about things that aren't just the canon material.

Inanimateronpa was a fan-creation that was ALSO told through visual media so people were able to not only write, post, and make fanart about it but they were also able to make edits. so pretty much every member of the fandom that got into it could participate in some way. And then the creator got revealed to be an awful person and everyone decided to never touch ir ever again (fair enough) but I think it also scared a lot of people away from getting that deep into fan projects and aus. aside from the odd really popular fanfic I don't really see people make fanart of II aus anymore.
maybe I'm just not looking in the right places, but I just miss it I guess.

you ever just decide that your favorite character is too basic so you randomly select someone out of the cast to become your new favorite character and somehow they actually just DO become your new favorite character and you get really excited whenever you see them on screen or is that just me

it's so funny (and also annoying) to me that two headcanons I made up when I was like 7 ruined my ability to ever enjoy fanbulb or rububble art or fics ever.
I know they aren't canonically related. I KNOW that. but my brain looks at both of those pairs the same way it looks at two canon siblings. It's a PROBLEM
I would LOVE to be able to enjoy polylights but I CAN'T because Lightbulb and Fan are both in there. I would LOVE to enjoy poly freesmart but I CAN'T because Ruby and Bubble are both in there. what the hell man.

Rububble at the very least isn't an immediate "oh wow I can't look at that" reaction from me. I can handle it perfectly fine when other people like the ship I just can't ship it myself
Fanbulb on the other handdddd. I immediately get the "oh, eugh" reaction unconsciously whenever I see the two of them paired together. And it makes me FEEL BAD because the author/artist didn't even DO ANYTHING and it feels like I'm being mean to them for no reason even though I don't even say anything. :((

no hate to these particular people everyone is entitled to viewing the show however they want but every time someone insists that Lightbulb being trans is purely headcanon and that the crew liking and supporting it doesn't make it canon I find it so funny. She is canonically referred to as a guy for the first 4 or so episodes of the show. How the heck else is that supposed to be explained in-universe than "oh yeah she's trans"?

rereading the old inanimate island chapters of the original yoylecity high and WAHT IN ThE WORLD WAS I PLANNING???? I DON'T EVEN REMEMBER ANYMORE. WHY WAS EVERYTHING SO WEIRD. WHY DID IT SOUND LIKE I WAS PREDICTINg THE TWIST??? "funny how this place doesn't have many stars" "everything seems connected" "everything seemed so colorful" LIKE WHAT IN THE WORlD ME FROM 2020??? Really regretting that I never got around to making that II spinoff book. I do not remember the lore.

gotta love being the only fan of a dead ship /sarcastic
honestly it's harder being a fan of a ship that WAS popular at one point but died off than being a fan of a ship you made up. because at least I went into losevi and tacobulb knowing that I completely made them up for aus but geleafy was actually fairly popular for a bit and I really enjoyed that time period :((

I still love geleafy they're adorable I just feel absolutely terrified whenever I try to make an au or fic that they DON'T have feelings for each other in. I feel like I am required by law to include them in everything I make now that I'm literally the only person left who still makes content for them.
