Mid writing chapter 13 and 14 and like— how do i explain Astrid’s tension with her adopted family without her sounding ungrateful

          Neither have posted in years (one since 2024 and the other 2023) but they are excellent writers and I’ve been an active member of their communities since 2021 :D

Okokok I have a plan
          
          Imma reread both my books and some of the ones I pulled inspo from just to like remember wtf I’m writing 
          
          THEN I’m gonna plan how to incorporate @starliie__ as Matthew’s annoying/diva/doesn’t give two shits/sassy little sister who exists solely for bonding over bullying (pulled from Cadarino iykyk) 
          
          It’ll involve her being like minutely there except for modding literally until Ari gets to America (must’ve been the wind type of beat) so it doesn’t look like “oh author got an idea 13 chapters in” *cough* uh yeah. So when that’s all ready and I’m in the right headspace you’ll get another chapter

          Heyyyyy so guess what!!! Author curse is in fact realllll!!!
          
          I’m alright so I’ll just list the shit that’s happened since like July in no particular order
          
          Tore something in my knee and had to get surgery 
          Got fired from my editing job then rehired as a finalist (just for legal and contract purposes)
          Won state championships for marching band 
          Got a full ride to Clarkson University and had to turn it down 
          Turned 18
          “Graduated” from physical therapy only for 2 weeks later having to go back after surgery 
          Failed AP English then passed it then failed then passed again (a lot of emails were involved)
          Wrote four chapters 
          hated all of them 
          deleted all of them (I’m back to square one)
          Became like 3rd in command of my color guard team when this is my first year with them???
          Went to an Offspring concert 
          Totalled my car (got t-boned)
          Put a down payment on an apartment for college 
          Had several hysterical episodes (one that sent me into a stroke somehow)
          Went to a cardiologist who diagnosed me with POTS
          Found out I have a genetic anomaly that they’ve never seen before???
          And finally I bought myself a sewing machine :D
          
          
          Anyways new chapter hopefully soon love you guys

I don’t think you guys understand how hard it is to live my life in Spanish, learn German in school, and then write in English all while having dyslexia
