Today (Sept 30) is National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, or Orange Shirt Day (for Canada, at least).  We recognize Indigenous peoples, and how they were affected by the residential schools of the past. We recognize how literal generations of Indigenous people have been hurt and killed by the residential schools.
