Well it's Monday again, and since no one decided to give me any suggestions on what they want this weeks post here I am rambling. As of this moment, I am listening to music, which got me thinking: Why do we have to like a particular genre of music? Everywhere I turn its like 'oh you like fall out boy? I guess you no absolutely nothing about indie music and only listen to punk rock emo bands.' Um, NO! I honestly will listen to anything as long as it is GOOD music. I personally have hundreds of songs memorized to the point where I can identify the song in seconds and sing along to it. I mean I know all the words to Bohemian Rhapsody (bloody beautiful song) AND Submarine (by the Lumineers) AND Holiday (Green Day). These songs are completely different, and I enjoy them because they are all well written despite their differences. I even listen to Classical and Techno music when I feel like it. I believe that music shouldn't be confined to certain people because we should be able to scream out 'Welcome to the Black Parade' and 'Happy' at the top of our lungs without having to worry about people judging us for our music taste. Great music is great music no matter what genre its from and some days I need to listen to Regina Spektor while others the only thing I can stand is Panic! at the Disco.
