My parents and I had a convo

My mum said something about Nicki Minaj and the way she uses her body for fame
We ended up with my parents yelling at me cuz I said my dad was wrong saying musicians only make their music for the money
As a musician, it's very important for me to speak up my mind, I write my songs so maybe one day people would relate to it, and I know every good artist doesn't make art for the fame and money
This really struck me, because now I know that the moment you become successful and happy doing what you love the way people see you change
And honestly I wouldn't think twice before leaving my family and make music
It's a chance that I'm willing to take
It's hard standing where you wanna be with zero support,and knowing what my parents might think of me is petrifying
