Fly fishing, gardening, and writing. That's what retirement promised. The fly fishing worked out fine. The gardening turned out to be yard work. And I did more writing when I was employed in business - five non-fiction books about entrepreneurship, and a history book.

I have done short essays and articles for magazines, Today I edit a newsletter for physicians. Recently I published a poem and co-wrote a song. The song is on You Tube - if you care to, see Neptune's Car and find "Montana Song."

But I don't consider myself a "writer." I'm just someone who writes.

I've amassed a lifetime of notes and ideas and have, as you probably do, this burning desire to say some thing important, beautiful, comforting, thought provoking, original, or maybe just interesting.

Ordinary as it may be, I have two fears: first that I might not be able to do it and second that maybe I can.

Wattpad may give me a place to try.
