hey @CLHarper!! I read your books before covid and even reread them during that time and now i was kinda inactive on this app for the last two years and like I only used to check whether or not you're done editing The cunning and the formidable for me to reread them again (i don't like reading unfinished books they make me feel uneasy im sorry!!) but now i saw you've again taken them down for editing (in my humble opinion the books were perfect after the first edit) so i just wanna know that how are you so motivated to continue editing again and again and like at what point should someone stop (i'm asking this only because i've always been lowkey inspired by your books and i'm a writer myself but i can't seem to get the courage to just click on the publish button, all my works are just rotting away in my drafts) also how did initially gain audience? like did you promote your books anywhere or just posted chapters and let the algorithm do its thing??

@am3thysxt the algorithm sucks lol my book wasn't showing up when you searched for it or any of the tags for a long time, I had to keep messaging wattpad to sort it out and manually advertising my book so I would find readers that read similar things and just message them. As for editing, I could literally write and rewrite The Cunning forever if I let myself but I just want it out of the way and to write something else now. I'm rewriting and reposting again because I like it but then I go and read published books and I come back feeling like it's not polished or good enough so I've just obsessed over it, not really even in a motivated way but in a way that I don't feel like I can do anything else until it's 'complete' and also I had a message from wattpad asking me to be part of the creator programme but i missed it by a year so I'm hoping maybe appearing regularly active again might get wattpad's attention again because I did actually remove it originally because I wasn't going to continue writing, I was just going to give up as it didn't seem to be getting me anywhere Anyway, sorry for the rambling, in short, I'm not motivated as much as I am hyperfocussing on this one project and I probably should have stopped a while ago. And you should just go ahead and publish it, it might not get that much attention at first but it will get even less sitting in your drafts :)

@CLHarper ok you're writing is genuinely some of the best I've ever seen like seriouslyyyyyy I'd totally expect this to be published. What I've been doing it making notes on whatever specific things I see!
