I'm going to start posting my new story a bit sooner than I was originally planning so if you want a cute friends-to-lovers teen romance (I needed a break from the dark romance, but she'll be back) then please add Coming of Age to your library, the first chapter will be on Wednesday 3rd of June xoxo

If you could do anything to improve Wattpad, what would you do? I think I would get it to stop promoting stories that are over five years old, I want to see the new writers with the active comment sections

@CLHarper I absolutely agree. Also, promoting the same popular ten stories in the banners everytime is exhausting. I'm not saying they shouldn't promote them because hey, those writers worked just as hard and they deserve it. But it should also make room other growing, underrated stories. These intense, fast paced "they're wrong for each" tropes are fine and actually fun to read. But despite there being so many stories, it's really hard to find a story that you just connect with from the first chapter.

Interestingly, nobody can resist the allure of an Omega, as their pheromones and scent is suffocatingly sweet and irresistible. No matter male or female, omegas can conceive and give birth.

Some stories portray omegas to be nothing more than a dainty, weak, and frail individual, whose only purpose is to sexually please the upper-level individuals and bear their children. They are the marginalized and subjugated individuals of the society, usually.
Nonetheless, this story I'm reading, omegas are cunning, shrewd, and highly manipulative.
A male omega is a rarity, and thus, he is highly precious for anyone he comes across.
I hope it all is adequate for you to understand Omegaverse dynamics ❤️❤️❤️

@CLHarper
Now, let me expound on the things that make such stories captivating:
          1. The Enigma, Alpha, Beta, and Omega release pheromones when they experience a sudden overwhelming emotion, like when they are panicking or getting aroused.
          2. With these pheromones, their natural scent amplifies, which can significantly impact anyone in the vicinity.
          3. In Omegaverse, no character can ever fall in love with someone else at random. For instance, an Alpha will only fall in love with a beta or an omega only if they are his chosen or destined partners, which brings in the concept of "MATES."
          4. A mate is an individual's other half with whom they spend the remainder of their lives. The chosen mate can be recognized by a person's wolf, i.e., when a person comes across their fated mate, their wolf will instantly recognize their mate because of the mate's unique scent. It will only happen after the person has turned 18. After they turn 18, they can spot their mate.
          5. A person can identify their mate because of their heigtened and intense scent, which is only meant for that person.

Now, let's move on to the genders and how reproduction works in an Omegaverse.
Both male and female can be born as an Alpha, Beta, or an Omega. There's no gender restriction.
However, Alphas are mostly born as males.
Since an enigma is the most privileged, he can impregnate anyone: alpha, Beta, and omega, no matter the gender of the one conceiving.
A beta (second in power structure) can impregnate an Omega.
But an omega can't impregnate anyone because they are meant to be the child carriers and not the other way around.

Okay, so based on what I've read and learned from reading various Omegaverse stories, I'll attempt at elucidating you its fundamentals.
Omegaverse is a world where there are typically 4 dominant echelons of dominance or power.
At the top level sits an Enigma.
An enigma, usually a male, is the strongest, the sturdiest, and the most powerful being in the Omegaverse. Their physical build and strength are nonpareil.
At number two is the Alpha. Usually most of the stories assume the Alpha to be the first and strongest in the hierarchy.
Third comes the Beta, and lastly an Omega.

Now the intriguing concept of Omegaverse is that all these four individuals have wolves. Sometimes, in some stories, the characters can shape shift, like they transform into a werewolf from their human form. Primarily, these stories mention in their tags if the story will have shape shifting werewolves.
On the contrary, some stories are based on Omegaverse, and the characters have wolves, yet their wolves never make an appearance or those individuals never change into their wolves. They just keep talking about their wolves thoughts, but wolves never come out :D
The story I'm reading at the moment is that one.
