CLNHelpline

Greetings everyone! Today I'm here with a rather important announcement. As most of us might have noticed, the whole earth is going through a heatwave, and there has been an excessive temperature rise across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. So we, at CLN, have prepared some To-Dos and Not To-Dos for you. Please take your time to read them as you scroll by!

          	__**What To Do?**__

▪︎ **Water Saves Lives!!** Drink plenty of water (but not too much!) And stay hydrated all day and night. Drink a cup of water at least every one or two hours. It's one of the best ways to feel less tired and exhausted during extra hot days.

▪︎ **Sugar is Life!!** Most of you should know, glucose is the easiest nutrient to digest by our body, so eat sweet things to help digest faster and keep you energetic.

▪︎ **Eat Healthy, Stay Healthy!!** Eat fresh fruits and lots of vegetables. They are easy on the body, light for your stomach. And for the cherry on the top, lots and lots of vitamins and minerals free at cost (except the cost of buying, duh).

▪︎ **Shower, Shower and Shower!!** Not like that though, but cold showers feel a lot refreshing after coming from outside or just when you're feeling too hot. Don't let numbers hesitate you from going to the bathroom!

▪︎ **Fan Yourself Cause You're Too~ Hot!!** It would be effective if you can keep a mini/hand fan with you to cool yourself when you're swimming in your own sweat when you're going out, unless it's too formal to have a personal fan just for yourself (which would suck :<)

▪︎ **Umbrellas Save The Day!!** Whenever you go out, use an umbrella to shield yourself from the scorching sunlight. Even though the atmosphere is hot anyways, the umbrella would save you from direct sunlight.

▪︎ **Wipe Yourself Clean!!** But not where you're thinking- (seriously, get your head out of the gutter!) Wipe your face, arms, along with the places you sweat too much to avoid the sticky feeling you might get from your sweat drying off on your own body.

▪︎ **Wear Something Thin... Without Revealing Yourself!!** Wear cotton clothes, but also cover your whole body to avoid sunburns. Wear loose clothes that would pass the air from and into the body (or maybe wear tight clothes so that air can't get in to begin with?)

▪︎ **Wear Socks in Summer!!** It may sound funny, but if your street is boiling from the heat, wearing socks may not be a bad idea. It would protect your feet from getting burns from walking/travelling. But don't wear the thickest socks in your wardrobe though!

          __**What To Not Do?**__

▪︎ **Drink Too Much!** Even though water is essential, drinking too much water can cause bloating, and you might feel worse than feeling better. Not to mention, you'll need to use the restroom more!

▪︎ **Eat Too Much!** You may think eating like drinking should do the trick, but actually, keeping your body light and eating only the amount you need would be the best path to take, because too hot weathers make us feel uneasy, and feeling heavy from excess food would only increase it.

▪︎ **Eat Whatever I Want!** When you choose your food, try not to eat foods that will take a lot of time to digest or contain heavy nutrients. Even though gaining energy is important, eating these types of foods will increase the pace of our digestive system and hence, increase our body temperature.

▪︎ **Sleep All Day!** Staying at home and sleeping sounds like a heavenly idea, doesn't it? But here's a problem, if you sleep too much, your biological clock will go bonkers and you'll struggle to fix your schedule later on. Not only that, you'll also feel groggy and too tired to move and work.

▪︎ **Caffeine and Alcohol!** Yes, at least during this heatwave, try not to drink any drink consisting of caffeine or alcohol because they can be dehydrating for your body, which is literally the opposite of what you need now.

▪︎ **Open Windows When You Should Close!** No, lol. We're not talking about Windows XP here. It's actual *windows*. It's highly recommended to keep your windows closed during the day to prevent the hot air from getting into your room. After the sun has set and/or you notice the breeze outside is cold, open the windows for the cool air to circulate throughout your room. It'll keep your room temperature way lower than outside.

▪︎ **Late Night Parties!** Avoid eating snacks or oily food late at night because they are prone to increase your body temperature. It would be both unhealthy and uncomfortable, which none of us wants, right? :)

To wrap it up, remember that this is a temporary but critical crisis, and being just a bit alert and careful can even save lives. Plant and encourage others to plant trees as much as you can, use less plastic and more paper, stop using chemicals where naturals can be helped, reuse, recycle and recover instead of creating more garbage because even if some people deny it, we know this is just the beginning of the results of climate change, a reflection of our own attributes in environment pollution. In order to stop these from happening more and frequently at that, we need to take necessary actions *now*. Search up what YOU can do to stop these unnatural turmoils. Stay close to your family and friends, share awareness and be safe wherever you are!

          Part 3: End

CLNHelpline

On account of World Suicide Prevention Day today, the theme has been released as "Creating Hope through Action".

"Suicide doesn’t end the chances of life getting worse, it eliminates the possibility of it ever getting any better," someone said. We want each and everyone here to know that you are precious, you are special and you are loved. You all are brave, you all are so so courageous to battle through all that you have been going through. Its not easy, it feels draining and sometimes you just want to give up but remember that when you have fought for so long, you have to make it to the end, make it worth it.

Whoever is battling with negative thoughts, we want you to know that we are there for you, the thoughts you are having are not a crime and reaching out for help doesnt label you as weak or small. It takes a lot of strength to reach out to someone, to acknowledge the fact that you want help and you want to get better.

On that note, we wish you all a good day or night ahead, wherever you are and remember things are bound to get better soon! <3<3

Beautiful person award!

Once you get this award you should paste it to a conversation of 8 people who deserve it. Nothing happens if you break this chain, but it's nice to let someone know they're beautiful inside and out...

Whenever you are down, remember that I'm always here, and that I always love you and will look up to you, and that I always want you to be happy and keep smiling.

I just want to let you know that things can get difficult at times and life will be showing its cruelty to you, but it's okay to cry, it's okay to swear and shout, and never bottle it up.

Whatever you do, just don't give up, just as much ugly life can get, it is always worth living. ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

          You deserve the world ❤️
