I logged back into this account, I’m now in college. Insane to look back at my quarantine writings!
I just wanted to say how heartbreaking it is that AI has done so much damage to writing. Not only in online spaces but actual publishing platforms.
I was never a good writer, and I’m still not a good writer. But to write for fun and just spew out nonsense was so beautiful, but to know that now it’s overwhelmed with AI content; it feels almost wasteful. That goes with not only writing but art as well.
Please, keep writing your fan fiction, write it, and don’t care. The authenticity of a writer on the internet is beautiful, I hope writers don’t feel discouraged by AI.
I have sadly distanced myself from art (and writing as well) because of AI, I felt like there was no point anymore, I couldn’t find value in my art because a machine could easily replicate it, but I’d hate to see that happen to other creatives.
Please keep creating, please keep using self-expression, and please keep using your brain.
