I am a grade 8 Humanities teacher in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. I love to read, and I love to write. The book I wrote to completion is entitled Aarial. Aarial sat on my bookshelf for several years without an audience. It would still be there if not for the encouragement from my students. I didn't think it was good enough for anyone's eyes but my own.
The turning point came when one of my students said angrily, "Why don't you write something? You're always making us write but you never do."
I informed him that I had written a story but that I had not shared it with anyone. He was very curious and asked if I would read it to the class. So I did. And they liked it. They gave me great advice on how to improve it and make it a more engaging story. I took their advice and rewrote it with their suggestions in mind.
So, I will now share it on Wattpad. I would love to hear your feedback.
Thank you
