~The only things worth saying lie in the drops of our ink.~
Chì Xuě Mò Yàn is a poet whose work draws deeply from the traditions of classical Chinese verse. Her poems are evocative and poignant, weaving together bold lyricism and vivid natural imagery to tell quiet, powerful stories.
Despite the emotional intensity of her writing, she remains a recluse at heart-most at ease in silence, keeping company with her shadow as it stretches along a sunset wall.
While poetry has always been a part of her life, the loss of a close acquaintance to suicide deepened her need to give voice to what cannot be spoken. Chì Xuě Mò Yàn writes to remember, to feel, and to honor the joy of what once was.
