Funny you should ask, I’m actually thinking about getting back to writing again. I’m not sure when, but I’ll probably be posting updates here and there again soon
So in honor of it being pride month, I thought I’d mention, for anyone who didn’t already know, that there is an official Frog and Toad cartoon and it’s one of the most faithful book to tv renditions I’ve seen. It’s beautiful and the theme song is the most wholesome gay shit I’ve ever heard. Also, the head writer said that he wasn’t interested in removing the gay interpretation of the show. They’re never canonically together, but they’re basically Aziraphale and Crowley season 1, so overtly queerplatonic at minimum. Anyway, have a great pride month, go out of your way to learn something new about queer history, and if you go to pride parades, make sure to pack all of your essentials like water, sunscreen, and snacks!

Every time THL updates I scream and open wattpad after it’s been laying dead for months i literally only have this app for this story somebody sedate me
i literally deviated over to ao3 and manhwas/webtoon, so quite literally wattpad is only sustained by my love for your book. the first time i read it was so amazing, i actually reread the first book and i never do that i just wanted to reread about Kayden’s struggles with school since it’s so relatable (+ i like their interactions enough to be entertained twice)
Thank you, I’m glad I could be that author for you! But honestly, I kind of feel that sentiment. I used to find so much to read on here and in the past few years I feel like there’s just almost nothing that interests me outside of the books of one or two authors
Hey everyone, I know it’s been a hot minute, but I’m finally back to working on THL and I might have a chapter up tomorrow or Tuesday. It’s an Ezra and Grant chapter and it’s one I’ve been thinking about writing for about a year now. Hopefully I will get back to writing more regularly soon, but either way, I wanted to update everyone. Hope you’re all having a good Labor Day weekend if you celebrate and remember to stay hydrated!

@areal_menace Wow, thank you! It always amazes me when people tell me that my books are their favorites. I mean, I have my favorite Wattpad books too, but I guess I just get a weird imposter syndrome about my own writing. I'm glad you've been enjoying them!

Hey everyone, so there's something I've been thinking about for a while now and haven't brought up because I hadn't made a decision on it, but now that I have, I just wanted to make a quick announcement. When I started writing books on here, I was significantly younger than the vast majority of my characters, but after years, I've grown and my characters haven't really. I guess now that I'm out of my teens and in college, I've stopped wanting to write about teenagers so much. Just to be clear, I am still continuing THL, but I don't feel comfortable writing smut about teenagers anymore. As of right now, I won't be editing older content to take it out, but going forward, it won't be included in the second THL book. Sex scenes will be alluded to, but there will not be graphic descriptive scenes of it because I feel like I'm just past the age for writing that. That being said, I am not policing anyone else's reading or writing preferences, I understand these are all fictional characters and also that teenagers, especially older teenagers, do have sex and that's fine as long as it's safe and consensual, I just don't want to write that into my stories. It's also not like I'll never write smut again, I still have plans for books about adults, but after THL, I will likely be pivoting away from stories that take place in high school. Anyway, thanks for sticking by me and I hope to get you guys more updates in the future. Stay hydrated and I'll see you soon!

@aurorakeys It's been like a month since I've been on Wattpad, so I just saw this, but yeah, I agree with you personally and that was part of the reason why I made the decision. I don't want to give Wattpad reasons to take my books down, but also, I'm an adult and it was starting to hit me that my characters aren't at my age and maturity level. Being 21 now, I see 16-17 year olds for what they are, kids. Of course, you don't see it that way when you ARE 17, and stories about high school experiences are still valuable stories, but it just made me uncomfortable to continue writing about minors that way when I wasn't one anymore. This is also a trend I've seen happen with a few other writers on here who started out writing high school stories and either leave or age up their stories when they get to college, so it felt like the time for me to do that as well. I know I made my brand somewhat about high school stories, but some of the context of writing has changed for me, and part of maturing is adjusting your choices to follow the changes in the context of your life. There is still one more story I have maybe on the backburner that follows a group of high schoolers, but for the most part, I wanted to hard pivot to writing in the new adult genre partially because a lot of people expect smut in Wattpad books, and partially because I'm just about out of stories that I want to tell about high schoolers.
@Cactus_Friend that’s Vaild (; if an author is not comfortable writing about teens anymore esp sumt respected and nobody should complain either . Also knowing how wattpad changed the consent to 18 it’s also for the best too( Also I don’t wanna be attacked by this and this is just my take but I feel like adults writing sumt between teens especially minors is just werid even if they’re fictional tbh I think I would get if the characters are legal of age tho)) but besides that write what your feel comfortable with I’ll still be interested in your books regardless!

I swear, nothing compares to the feeling of finally finding the perfect ending for a chapter. Chapter 4 of THL2 should be coming out tonight or tomorrow sometime, I just need to finalize some things. Also I just wanted to take a second to appreciate the people who are sticking with me through the second book. I know it’s really slow right now, but I want to make sure that every chapter is the best it can be. Hopefully at some point I’ll be able to put them out faster again, but for now, this is kind of where we’re at. Anyway, have a great day or night and I’ll see you all soon!

I listen to indie music but not the kind that is showcased in THL and I like to try all kinds of music. I want to see if I like it or not.

@Mermergreatp Oh yeah! It's called Slowburn Suffering on spotify and mostly includes the songs I've put at the tops of chapters. I think it's mostly a mix of indie, midwest emo, and some other random songs I found that fit the book.
Is it crazy that I want so badly to jump into THL 2 just to be that one really annoying friend to Elias that never leaves him alone and slowly convinces him that it’s okay to choose himself

Hey so random request, but if anyone who's read any of Pixie's books could give me some recs for stories by other authors that feel similar to their style, I'd be forever grateful. I've been searching, but it's hard to find something that hits that particular spot for me. Pretty much all of their books are just so beautifully melancholic and I really miss that. Alternatively, I could just reread The Treehouse and sob.
