I'm sure I said this before but scars along the way will always have a special place in my heart. What I struggle with, besides being distracted and having depressing episodes, is that at the time I wrote it I was younger and I didn't understand the Joker's character the way I do now. I think my story would work better if I made him similar, but not the Joker, if that makes sense? I have another fic in the works that is a different original character, a different story and way of crossing paths, and the Joker is true to what he is in the movie.

Any fans of Bane from The Dark Knight Rises?

What if Bane hadn't died at the end, but instead was injured? What if he had been taken to the hospital in Gotham, where there are nurses and doctors who have been working tirelessly to save lives in the midst of all the terror and chaos? The only one willing to care for him was one single nurse who was dedicated to doing her job no matter what or who. He wakes chained to the bed, to learn that not only had his mission failed, but his body was weak from three days in a coma. Feeling broken, defeated and small, he has to rely on this nurse, who despite everything, is willing to not tell anyone he is awake to allow him a few days of peace before he has to face the consequences. They have very interesting and eye opening conversations during this time of healing and recovery.

          Just an idea

I still haven't given up on ANY of my stories. Our house is being renovated and we're moving in November to an entirely new State! Things will settle down a bit before we go, so a new chapter or two may come out and some editing done to my existing chapters in my books to make them better. Soon after moving I will be working full time so I will just have to squeeze in writing when I can. I never lose interest in these books, I just have a ton of my plate.
