This came up in the comments if you haven't seen it and I need opinionssss.

Okay, so I was thinking of giving Ares children some powers, just to spice things up, and I wanna know what y'all think:

Weapons - Being able to turn weapons into other things. (Like turning a sword into a needle by just a thought.) It would be extremely rare and very very few of Ares kids would have it. This being Daliah and possibly Mark. [a background character in pjo books, but he'll have a pretty big impact on my story] as well as some of Ares' famous kids in Greek mythology.

Emotions - obviously, war has a lot of negative emotions in it, like anger and sadness. So I'm leaning on the idea that Ares children can sense negative emotions and maybe control them. (Kind of like how Dionysus can control madness, just on a lower level.) I'm kind of basing this on how Percy describes Ares' aura to be infuriating.

Then there's obviously stuff from the books. Enhanced strength and battle strategy, plus easier mastery of weapons.

Let me know what you think! If you have any other suggestions, PLEASE share them. ❤️

If you’re going to do something about weapons, may I suggest Erza Scarlet as an example? She changes weapons and armors according to situations. (Obviously this is after having years of mastery).

Besides Phobos and Deimos are Ares sons, but I also think that they could influence more than battle emotions yk? War is more than a physical battle. It includes Post war times (the hope, the relief, the grieving, the happiness and sadness), mental battles (I’m not talking about all mental illnesses bc it crosses with insanity, but PTSD, depression, phobias, etc) it also could include things like battle within oneself (loyalty, morals, ethics, self image, consciousness, etc). Just food for thought. (Could you also maybe respect that in the myths Ares is a patron of women? I just hate that everyone forgets that)
