I would love if some fic writers would lean a little less out from the “cale is beautiful” characterisation and more into the “cale is a loser” characterisation. Cause both are/and can be canon at the same time. He’s often both at the same time. Cause yes, he is the main character of the totcf universe, he doesn’t often act like one. That’s still Choi Han.
Like Han lands on his feet every time he goes through a portal, looks cool in every situation and is almost picture perfect all the time. I think Alberu could also do this often. At least cause he’s obsessed with how the public sees him.
Cale is not this. Like, when he got Vitality of the Heart and everyone thought he rolled down a hill. Or when Han got a cool fade away transition and Cale basically blew up coughing up blood. Or when Han lands on his feet and he hits a branch on the way down, and then fell onto the dirt.
Cale isn’t the type to care much about how he looks during missions. Sometimes he remembers he’s hot, and takes a second to gawk at himself. And he’s not usually worried about looking cool, but you know, there are ways that even he gets sick of being humiliated unnessecarily. Cause he used to be KRS. That’s such a side character thing, come on now.
If someone could write a story where Cale is a side character, actually not involved in chaos that’d be so freaking funny. His stoic ass, quiet af, listening but not hearing his thoughts, saying random either helpful or bombshell shii.
Or like, some of Han doing main character stuff, and Cale’s reactions. I’d love something that was like Han being a disney princess and Cale being confused. Watching him attract birds when he wakes up in the morning. Or Cale being a disney princess or something and Han acting like that’s normal.
“Yeah, its how I got through being in the forest. The bluebirds left me bread sometimes, and thats how I figured that there was a village nearby!”
