CallMeHanne

Hey there! I just posted chapter 2 of my story, Dazed.

Dazed is a story of conquering. Your fears, doubts, your dreams. On a more literal note, it's about the po-lice!

Erm, the dynamics and the terms used in the story is more or less accurate (I did my research, I swear!). I also wrote a glossary at the end of the chapters nang may matutunan naman tayo hihihihi.

I actually have some qualms about this story. I'm worried it's too problematic. For one, I'm writing about characters who are members of the LGBTQ+ community but I'm practicing something that's called "casual queer" meaning I won't be implementing gay stereotypes and that their queerness is not their entire world. However, the characters need to be real and relatable so I'll be striking a balance between unique and relatable.

This story is highly influenced by my favorite queer author, hyperever. If you haven't read any of their story, you absolutely should! Her stories give me life.

Anywayyyyyy, to whom this post concerns, I hope you enjoy this story.

          	Lots of love,
          	-Hanne

Yes po, opo. My last post here was 2 years ago and I'm finally baaaaack. I understand that some of the readers here tuned in because of Cerberus: Special Unit which is about kay Carter, Nicolette at Xavier.

I want you guys to know that this new story happens in the same setting where Cerberus happened, only this story (or stories) happened a few years before the events of Cerberus.

I'm still writing Carter's story. I'm polishing it, dontcha worry.

I just wanted to do the world-building of San Martin right and fix it for the future stories I'm gonna write in that fictional universe. We need context and legends and all the sumthing-sumthing that is needed to make San Martin feel like a real place.

This story called Dazed, is something I wrote to feel good inside. I hope you all enjoy this.

          Lots of love,
          -Hanne

I finally reached 10 chapters! I feel so overwhelmed hnggggg.

Thank you for those who decided to follow Carter's journey TT___TT

Ten chapters is not much but I feel proud already considering I've only ever written short stories before thisssss.

To anyone,

I tried to keep up with a schedule of posting twice a week, but unfortunately I'm making it up as I go. I have a general outline, but my outlines consists of my goals—what I want the readers to feel, and not the events or scenes themselves. Right now the inciting incident for Kung Bakit Pinatay Si Katrina Yu is done and so I am trying to write the build up for the next plot point haha.

It's kind of scary because I plan to weave the past and the present together. But I've had my rest so my plan is to just barbarically attack the blank page.

          Please bear with me.

Heyyyyy.

To anyone,

I have decided to make this wall into a writing log. I guess my progress and er—- my difficulties in writing shall be written here.

First off, I learned talking from English movies and so naturally my first language became English, despite being a full-blooded Filipino and despite never stepping out of the Philippine Area of responsibility.

Now, my stories are addressed to the Filipino youth so I want my stories to be accessible to the Filipino Youth. By accessibility I mean easy to understand. To spell it out, I want my stories to be easily understood by the Filipino youth.

However, Filipino—-the language, is at most my third language (English being the first, and Cebuano being second) so I am admittedly not so well versed as I would like in the said language.

It's especially hard because when writing, scenes flow in my head in English and I still have to shift it to Filipino. Sometimes I have to translate it in Cebuano to be easier to translate in Filipino. @Clementyne knows my struggle.

I would love to be good at it and I am passionate about it.

That's why these days, my most-visited app in my phone is the Tagalog-English dictionary and I've been collecting Filipino Literature. I have also made it an everyday thing to read one award-winning Filipino piece, whether a poem or a short story.

It's my dream for my stories to change lives more than merely being entertaining. For it to be effective, it needs to be easily understood first of all.

And so in my endeavor, I pray for support.

          Yours Truly,

          Hannah ❤

HAHAHAHAHA I AM SO SORRYYYY I THOUGHT SO HARD ABOUT HOW TO SET-UP THE INCITING INCEDENT PERFECTLY BUT I ENDED UP WITH A MERE 800 WORDS (MORE OR LESS)

CHAPTER 6 IS SHORT BUT TRUST ME, THIS SCENE NEEDED TO BE HERE.

I hope you guys enjoy it. If you're one of those people who support Kung Bakit Pinatay Si Katrina Yu, first of all, thank you. Second of all, please bear with me
