i have been a million different people
          	in this life, but
          	this one—
          	i think she is my favorite.

when the sky turns sapphire blue
          and the stars speak to you
          don’t try to reach for them;
          you know what that will do.

          instead, let them hang from the sky
          turn off your voice and let your legs drift down to the grass,
          pull your knees up to your chest and watch them up high

          sometimes the things we don’t reach for,
          but want to reach for,
          are better known from a distance

I don’t seriously believe that teen angst is a thing—you don’t just stop feeling dread with time, but maybe you stop caring.

          A thought I had while watching that one episode of bojack horseman where he almost gets an Oscar nomination.

@CalyxElliott as someone in those teen years I think I kinda agree. I think when you grow older you find better ways to cope with the dread(hopefully). I still think teen angst does still exist because it's when your prefrontal cortex hasn't fully developed and you're transitioning from concrete thoughts to abstract thoughts. Not to mention hormones. But ig in terms of dread, it's not teen specific and it doesn't completely stop. You might be able to handle the dread in more mature as you grow but the dread is still there.
