            Thank you so much for answering! I've just finished the story and wow, the final few chapters are awesome. The twists caught me off guard. Hopefully now that Uperi is back as a seer's mom, she can make better changes in the village.

@CanaJury thank you for your questions and support! "The Village" and the people in it are loosely (very loosely) based on some indigenous cultures I studied in college. But I worked really hard to not mention any ethnicities or even skin colors, bc I didnt want the story to be clouded by implications inherent in race.
