My goal for tonight: completing writing my third chapter. I don’t actually know if I’ll be able to do it but since I have made a quite bit of progress with the others in typing out the conflict scenes, I feel a lot more motivated and optimistic about completing it.

As for tonight, I have been in a conflict sort of mood. Meaning that I typically struggle writing about arguments between characters, as well as actions scenes sometimes. But, throughout the whole night, I managed to type out just about all the scenes that involve conflict between my characters for about every chapter in part one of “Glorious Purpose”. I’m super proud of myself and I actually feel motivated to write (even though at the beginning of the night I was kind of dreading it).

Quick update about writing my original “Glorious Purpose”. (I’m sorry if all these mini updates are getting annoying, it’s honestly just a way for me to hold myself accountable).
So, I’m just typing out different scenes for different chapters when they’re coming to me, and since I’ve written down what each chapter is going to be about and what characters are appearing, I f*cked up and wrote an entire scene about a character in a chapter that doesn’t even make an appearance… but lucky for me the scene is able to be moved to a different chapter in which the character is in. So I’m very thankful for that.
And no, I have not made much progress with the next chapter, but I am only working on the first part of this story only. Plus, there are only 13-15 chapters in that one… I think. I don’t remember because I named all of them rather than numbered them (because I prefer it that way).
Anyways, that’s the only update I have for now. I hope everyone is staying safe, healthy, and is having a wonderful day/night!
Am I avoiding writing the rest of my third chapter by manually tabbing the first two chapters? Yep. So that’s exactly what I did. I went in and hit the space bar five times for each new paragraph and now I’m questioning my sanity for when I know have to do this for all of my other chapters… ok. Back to writing I guess.
@katiegoesmew Ok, now it’s even more impressive with how she’s handling everything and able to just, switch up her life. My best wishes and prayers for her and that things get better. I don’t have any kids of my own, but I do know that raising kids pretty much on your own is not an easy task. Especially with the kind of job she has, even changing around her schedule.
@Candle_Eater167 Well, I don't know if she does that anymore, actually. She did when she was married, but now that they're separated and going through a divorce, meaning she can't rely on him to take care of the kids when she has them, and she can't split the homeschooling work with him, either, I think she may have had to change things up. Which would also mean a pay cut, because that insane shift paid very well, but yeah. It's not something everybody can do.
@katiegoesmew Yea I don’t know how you friend does that, that’s honestly really impressive. I only work 40 hours but I do physical labor during, and on my days off I sleep like the dead because of how tired my body just is.
The first draft of chapter three is halfway done. Which is huge progress because it seems as though my chapters are going to be ranging anywhere between 2500 words to 5000 words. Not to mention, I have drafted all seven parts for my ‘series’ “Glorious Purpose”. And I say series because the way I have split it up makes it seem that way but in reality it’ll be one giant book. And since I’m also posting it on ao3, it will be one giant book on there because I know people that are mostly on that site aren’t as intimidated with longer series (and this one has over 100 chapters… technically).
Ok! That’s all that I have to share for now and give an update to. Please let me know if any of you have any advice, especially with redesigning my cover to fit the official title, but also make it apparent which part it is, with the name, and I’d prefer my name on it too.

Ok! So I’m going to be breaking up Glorious Purpose into a seven part series for Wattpad.
So the number of the part will be listed above and the name of the part will be smack dab in the middle. I just finished creating the first part as well as creating all the chapters and I can say that everything feels far less overwhelming. I might publish the first part (in case anyone has any criticisms which are openly welcome and highly encouraged) but for the others I’ll publish them after they’re done and completed (but criticisms for all of them are welcome because I constantly doubt my writing especially my grammar and I want to make sure everything sounds good).
I feel like once I do finish the first part it’ll be all that much easier due to the foundation being created. Plus, I hope that once the first part is written down, it’ll be easier to envision as I go and just accelerate.
Also, I know I need to put the name of the series on the cover so if anyone has any ideas please let me know. My imagination can only do so much.

Finally get the night off tonight and that means I’ll be getting a lot more writing done. I’ll be taking Saturdays off after this week so that would make… three days off total! Hopefully during the nights I don’t work I’ll make a lot more progress because at the moment it just feels like I’m not getting much done.

You know what? After some consideration, I think I’ll decide to split my giant *ss book into seven parts on this site. You read that right. Seven Parts. Because that’s how many there are. It will definitely be a lot better and not seem as overwhelming if it were all shoved into just one big giant book for anyone that would like to read it (when it’s done).
Now, the only question is if I should do a different cover for each ‘book’ or just keep the same style cover and attach which number it is (like a series).
@katiegoesmew I’ll have to keep that in mind. Thank you! You’ve honestly been a big help with the technical stuff and just some of the organization of my book. I’m really appreciating it XD
@Candle_Eater167 The covers were a side benefit I didn't think about when I entered, and some hosts are better than others at actually doing them (I may have two covers pending that I doubt I'll ever see), but I think they work out well for a book split into a series.
Ok, another update about me ranting about “Glorious Purpose” because I got no one else to talk to about it.
So I finally pretty much finished summarizing all 100 chapters! {Glorious, I know ;) }. And thank you @katiegoesmew for helping me figure out the different POV thing and whether or not I should do I it. And guess what! I decided to switch up the POV a bit since it does get intense in part six. Not only does it give them more depth and a look inside their heads, we’ll get to see what they do while the MC is off and away, busy doing other stuff.

Go Me! I just finished revising the second chapter of “Glorious Purpose” and published it. Then, after I’m done writing it all and doing some ‘final’ revisions and editing, I’ll be going back and I’ll be doing one last final revision. My fingers are crossed that I at the very least get all the chapters typed out, not even edited or revised, just typed out. Then hopefully by the end of next year, everything will be edited and revised for the final time. So now I just have to actually write out all the other ones… Alrighty, let’s do this.
