A cool idea for my California girl would be for the MC to have powers. You could either do he finds something that gives him powers. A couple examples would be the Omnitrix, green lanterns ring, or the blue beetle scarab or something like that. Or you could make him have powers already, but if you do that, I think it will be cool to see him have fire powers like human torch, which would be good against the mind flayer in season two and three.

You could make it where if the mind flayer gets him with will on the field then it could unlock a power within him which could be fire then his powers subconsciously activate which burns the mind flayer part out of him.

@Johnbobdude  Im writing the next chapter right now so I'll def see if I can manage to incorporate some sort of powers for him. It sounds like a fun idea!
