Just beat Nine Sols today, and I have to say, it is easily one of the best games of 2024.
Everything about it is truly amazing. The animation, art style, music, gameplay, and story are all sublime. The world building is also top notch, with quite a bit of intricacies and fascinating lore to chew on. It was a game I really resonated with. The characters are also rather well done in my opinion. The fact that it is an indie game for only $30 USD with about 20 hours worth of Metroidvania goodness is truly astonishing. And as a person who greatly enjoyed the combat system of Sekiro, I felt right at home with this game, and one with challenge too. My only real criticism is that because it is like Sekiro with a deflection/parry combat system, it has a high skill ceiling and won’t sit well with everyone, but once you master and understand the game’s mechanics, you have a truly great Sekiro-like game that is something to behold. Amazing all around. If you got into Sekiro, then you’ll have a blast with this one.

2024…
Phew…It was quite the busy year!
I graduated from undergrad and moved into the city, went into graduate study, and gained some new experiences!
And the stories! I found and read many great ones, both old and new, and uploaded quite a bit, including A Ghost in the Hall (which I’m cooking up a chapter for as of now!) and For All of Dragonkind: Wings of Ash! I still have quite the back catalog to post at some point, and I wish I uploaded more to be honest, but life changes and studying got in the way. Still, I wanted to thank everybody for all the great stories and kind words to help me with the transition!
I especially wanted to thank DragonsDwelling for not only her great stories at such a crucial time, but also for her feedback on my own content, along with being a friend here in this crucial phase of my life!
I wanted to wish everyone Happy Holidays! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Can’t wait to see what 2025 may bring! :)

I passed all my classes! Now it’s on to the next semester! I held my breath and did it! I wanted to thank you all for your gracious support over this semester!
