Guys, think fast: is the fact that Bucky was brainwashed an excuse for his actions when he was in Hydra?
Cause I'm in the middle of an argument with someone, that's trying to say that bucky doesn't have an excuse for his actions and that Wanda was corrupted in MOM and shouldn't take responsibility for what she did.

@Captain_Quake technically speaking bucky has an excuse for his actions but despite that, he still goes out of his way to make amends. that’s why if you apply the same standard to wanda, she should still take responsibility for her actions since she too was corrupted/brainwashed in a way (my evidence for wanda's corruption is the fact that she was finally getting back to normal in the last episode of WandaVision and she read the darkhold which immediately turned her into a villain. like bucky, there was no gradual descent into villainhood, it just hit both of them full on and gave them no choice.)

@Captain_Quake I think so, I feel like the psychological effects of something like that would be similar if not worse to the effects caused by enhanced interrogation techniques. In those situations, you would say or do anything just to get the pain to stop. Not to mention the psychological programing which is a whole separate set of issues.
