I guess I have never really thought that other people (friends specifically) weren't exposed to smutty fanfiction at a young age and aren't phased by sex scenes in books.
A book were reading in English class heavily implies a sex scene happening off-screen and my friend said "I've never read anything like this before". it honestly shocked me because I never thought other people don't read about sex lmfao.
