          I know I have been absent a long time. This editing was not supposed to take this long honestly. I had intended just to smooth a few things over but what was into a few small things became something much larger. I decided to write a few more chapters to add to the first 20. This was not supposed to be hard but I am sad to say that a sudden realisation that the novel is lacking in so many aspects hit. One of the main thing is the lack of culture and emotion. I realised that I have been writing my novels not for me or for you. I was writing for some enity that neither of us can see. This sounds weird but it is the only way I can explain it. So now I'm on a mission to bring the novel back home--back to me. I have incorporated my own culture and that of other South African cultures. I also have made things much more personal, which is very hard for me to write since I tend to keep my self very sheltered. It took its time but I found my way through this rough patch (more or less) and I will be posting again soon.

For readers of RUIN OF ROSES. I'm not dead and I have not forgotten about you. I just editing. I know it seems weird right now when it is not even half way but I promised myself to edit once I wrote 20 chapters (which I did the last two chapters I just didn’t publish). What this editing means is that there will be some changes. Not crazy ones like the change was from the first draft to the second. Just things that I feel need to change to make the story better--to let it evolve. Once all of this is over (which I hope I'd as soon as possible) I will let you all know about the changes. Please don't eat me (that was also an overuse of the word change).

Just a quick question, what happened to the finished Ruin of Roses that I read before? Don’t get me wrong, I love this one too, but I went back to reread and it was gone?
