I'm a professional athlete and serial entrepreneur, traveling the world while writing nonfiction philosophy, psychology, and self-help books, and also a forthcoming sci-fi series on artificial intelligence and biological immortality.
I've experienced every possible trial and triumph. It's been a crazy ride and I've accumulated enough personal stories to fill several books (stay tunned).
I've schmoozed with Wall Street millionaires at their Jewish-only country clubs while only weeks prior I was being stalked by wolves in the backcountry mountains of Norway; from winning three straight tournaments to missing 6 cuts in a row, then getting in contention at a big event only to have the final round canceled due to inclement weather; I've changed swing coaches, changed caddies, changed equipment, changed tours, changed girlfriends (pro tip: meet an Aussie); I've moved across the country three times and moved across the world twice--yes, it's been one helluva ride. And my stories go on and on and on.
But I don't do it for the stories. Good stories are the byproduct of being so driven for accomplishment that you will move worlds to overcome the obstacles in your path. It also means hardship, loss, lots of pain, and a thousand petty humiliations. But that's the price you pay for choosing to be in the arena rather than on the sidelines. One of my favorite books is the Japanese epic, Musashi, about a zen warrior and samurai named, Miyamoto Musashi, who follows the Way of the Sword. This is how I view my relationship with everything I do.
I am neither a genius or a great man, but simply a motivated and humble kid moving along the Path of self-mastery.
