I realized I never explained why I chose the title ‘Inception Without Shame’ and what it means to me.
Inception
Noun
“The establishment or starting point of an activity.”
Origin: late Middle English: from Latin- inceptio(n-) from incepere- to begin.
Hitoshi is beginning his new chapter in the Aizawa, Yamada household. He is leaving behind his past and beginning to recover from the manipulation and abuse of his mother. The only issue is: he doesn’t want to. That’s where the shame comes in. It’s like a teacher trying to tell you that your wrong. It’s uncomfortable, and he isn’t even there willingly. He has to start fresh and relearn his entire moral code. He sees himself as dirty and shameful, but Hizashi and Aizawa don’t. They don’t want him to be scared or hurt. They want inception without shame.
