Cassandra M Porter, born 27th July, grew up in the South of London as one of two children born to her West Indian parents. From a young age, she dreamt of writing and publishing her own novel and would write short stories in her spare time.

As a single mother to a nine year old, Cassandra has juggled parenthood with full time employment and her studies. She obtained a Bsc in Psychology followed by a Bsc in Criminal Justice and a Diploma in Probation Studies. She has been part of the Youth Offending Team Panel and currently works as a Probation Officer.

Through If Loving You Was Easy, Cassandra has carefully captured the realities of the modern day relationship; a process which has taken three years to bring to fruition. She draws her inspiration from life experiences; both personal and professional. She strives to be a positive role model for her son and to encourage and empower others to realise their potential and aspirations.

Cassandra continues to feed her natural flare for creative writing and is currently working on the sequel to this inspiring novel.
