Catherine Tang has loved reading since the day she could do so, and writing since she could pick up a pencil, which those who know her says that explains a lot. When she was young, she wanted to be a teacher or a singer, but quickly eliminated both opinions thanks to her stage fright and followed her love of writing.
Catherine lives with her shopaholic mother, animal-loving father, and ten-year-old brother , who annoys her sometimes, but she stills loves him. In her free time, she likes to dance, sing, write, read, draw, and pursue a variety of creative arts. In addition, she is currently writing a novel and has written a few short stories. She tends to write in the paranormal, romance, or a combination of the two—paranormal romance—genres. When she’s not sitting avidly in front of her computer, typing away, or burying her nose in some addicting book, she is most likely to be found laughing with her best friends, talking about meaningless subjects.
Predictably, Catherine has no doubts about what her profession will be and hopes to make it as a talented young author somewhere out in the writing world someday. Ever since she set her mind on becoming this, nothing—not even the practical worries of her relatives—can stop her from achieving her biggest dream: to write amazing stories to share with the world. Catherine hopes she will somehow make a difference in the world, whether it is through her writing or something else, and looks for inspiration everywhere she goes. A few things that make Catherine unique is her (silly?) tendency to collect insightful quotes whenever she comes upon one, her (completely insane) obsession with eating Sunmaid raisins (just ask her best friends), and getting waaay too emotionally involved with fictional book characters (ex. Delirium, Alex Sheathes.) Her favorite colors are red, blue, and green (for love/fire, sadness/water, and serenity/nature), and she enjoys listening to meaningful music.
