hi guys!! sorry for just dipping for 4 (nearly 5 years) without saying anything. I don’t know how active the old poetry community is anymore, but I don’t really write poetry anymore- although that doesn’t mean I don’t write, I’ve branched a little more into fiction and fanfiction :) I don’t really see myself ever using wattpad as a platform to publish my work on again just because of legality- wattpad owns all works published on it and my work (however terrible my poetry was- and it was terrible) was still my own work. I’ve had a lot of interesting stuff happen over the past couple of years, I’m in university now, I was in a relationship for over 2 years (haha finally some experience to write romance poetry from), I’ve lost people and met people and made great friends. I’ll always be incredibly grateful to the poetry community for being where I started from and it meant so so much to me, and it really set in stone to me that I dreamt to be a writer. Looking back at the poetry I wrote when I was 13 and 14 does sort of fill me with the tiniest bit of ‘oh my gosh why was I writing about romance when I was thirteen haha’ but I’m also incredibly proud of how much I’ve grown not only as a writer but as a person since. If anyone at all is still interested in reading my writing, I publish on ao3 (about one chapter a year which may make me the worlds slowest author bwaha) under the name of beccashipskrbk (will be changing this as again i made this name when i was 15 LOL). Thank you so so much to everyone who followed my poetry journey (which will never truly be over) and I genuinely value all of you from the bottom of my heart though you may never see this <3
