Hello there! I'm Catsarecool20! I'd like to share a little about myself..
In 2018, I became a senior in high school. In my senior year, I had the opportunity to achieve a goal that I've been wanting to come true since 7th grade. That dream was to publish a book. During my 7th grade, I had just recently finished reading a book,"The Land Of Stories," written by one of my favorite authors, Chris Colfer. After I had finished reading that book, I was so fascinated by how one person could write one amazing book and inspire millions of people just by doing something they loved. I sat on my bed, I looked up and I said,"What if I wrote a book?" 
I am someone who struggles with depression, anxiety, social anxiety & PTSD. I've been traumatized. I self-harmed. I was suicidal. I felt alone and isolated from the world. I had nowhere to go. When I was sitting in front of my computer, with only a blank page on the screen, I thought about how Colfer, the author I mentioned earlier, was able to share his stories with the world and how much they impacted everyone. I knew that I wanted my writing to have an impact on people. I wanted people to understand what I was going through; I knew for a fact my personal story was important to share, and I wanted people to know they weren't alone. So, I took the plunge and I started to write the first draft of my book and eventually, the story,"A Boys Mind," came into existence,"A Girl's Mind"
I wanted this story to be as real and raw as possible in order for people to really understand what a version of life is like living as a depressed individual. So, I changed the main character from a boy to a girl and that made all the difference in the world for me, as a writer. With that little change, I was able to write from my point of view and really tell my story the way I wanted to tell it, the way I had to tell it.
