I'm an old soul with eclectic interests, perhaps that's what makes me such a conversational juggernaut. For the most part history is my passion from mid to late nineteenth century but I dabble in everything old or forgotten. When I was eleven I had a dream about a Roman riding a tyrannosaurus into battle against some generic Germanic horde and when I told my mother she was not impressed - so I wrote it down and I've been writing ever since.

I'm a fan of classic literature especially the works of John Dryden, Christopher Marlowe, Samuel Johnson and Oscar Wilde there are many others but these men have influenced me greatly. After receiving my Doctorate I wanted to teach but found that teaching wasn't so much "teaching" as it was presenting information. Feeling disenfranchised I moved to Key West to work a retail job with zero responsibility.

I don't feel I'm the best writer not even fifth best but I craft stories well. Sometimes I intentionally put typos or or misspellings in my work to give it a warmer, human feel an homage to the orators of yesteryear. I've always felt that if you read someone's work and the only thing you can take away from it was improper semicolon use then you didn't read it. People nowadays are too concerned with grammar and not about content. I'm happy for those that meticulously scour their works to make it "perfect" but if the story is a steaming pile of trite goulash what was the point?

My writing partner Charis ( @Peccatore ) and I are always down to spit-ball ideas so hit us up.

Protip: If you want to be a better writer, read more and expand that library in your head. I understand Twilight might be more in your wheelhouse but there are so many other wonderful things to discover. Don't feel a book will be overwhelming just because it's old, most publishers have reprinted updated classic works and added footnotes to spoon-feed you references so now you have little excuse not to tackle La Vita Nuova or other medieval gems.
