Hi, I’m Ceci Vale.
I’ve always loved long stories. I love having time to get attached to the characters, to watch relationships grow, mysteries unfold, and a world become more familiar with every chapter.
What I don’t love is not knowing how far a story is going to go—or whether it’s going anywhere at all.
That became one of the reasons I started writing I Thought I Knew the Plot.
I wanted to write the kind of story I enjoy reading: one that has room to grow, but also knows where it’s going. A story where every chapter has a reason to exist—whether it moves the plot forward, reveals something important, develops a relationship, or changes the way we understand a character or the world.
I don’t want to add chapters just to make the story longer. If a scene doesn’t give the reader something that matters, it probably doesn’t need to be there.
I already know the ending and the major turns along the way. But there are still conversations, little moments, and pieces of these characters that I get to discover while writing them. That’s one of the things I love most about the process.
So yes, I know where this story is going.
I’m just discovering the road that takes us there.
