"You can't skip chapters, that's not how life works. You have to read every line, meet every character. You won't enjoy all of it. Hell, some chapters will make you cry for weeks. You will read things you don't want to read, you will have moments when you don't want the pages to end. But you have to keep going. Stories keep the world evolving. Live yours, don't miss out."

Hi! I read your story The Romanov Diary: I loved it, specially because it's a wonderfully dark deconstruction of the usual time travel storyline. Did you get inspired by George R.R. Martin? Because the "human heart in conflict with itself" theme that is so prevalent in his books, mainly A Song of Ice and Fire is present here. The deconstruction part:

-In a traditional time travel storyline, the entire Romanov family would have been saved. That doesn't happen here (and even then it's a bittersweet ending)

-In a traditional time travel storyline, Milo, Theo, Ophelia and Ella would have easily beaten the Bolsheviks. Here, they have to make use of every ounce of their guile, because a bunch of students going against trained soldiers never ends well, and even then, they escape from Yekaterinburg by sheer luck.

-In a traditional time travel storyline, Theo would have taken Maria to his timeline and would have had a happy family. Unfortunately, that doesn't happen here.

All in all, The Romanov Diary is a wonderful storyline and I hope to see more content from you in the future!
