Hey, I’m a fellow writer here.
I really liked your book Thundersnow and I think you did a great job showing Libber and Ice’s relationship.
I’m actually writing a book as well called “A Second Chance” and it’s about Jay. I need to make an arc centered around Libber, and I think that book, even though it’s unfinished, would work very well in it.
Can I use what you made of Thundersnow as part Libber’s lore for my book.
I will credit you where I use it.
Thanks

@CeraunoAure Thank you so much! It’s a very insightful and interesting plot! I’ll probably use a decent chunk from here and will make sure to credit you where it’s due.

Libber goes downhill fast from here. She kinda roams the halls of the hospital, never quite sure why she's there or who anyone is. Lilly visits with her often and tries to prompt her to remember things but her friend is fading fast. There was a scare when she first arrives where Lilly is freaking out trying to find out wtf Libber did with Jay, from her perspective Libber could've just lost him or let him alone and Libber can't even deny this because she doesn't know who Lilly is talking about.
There's a scene where Cole actually gets to see her, he's visiting his mom in the hospital and finds her crying over this strange lady with long pale hair and wide eyes. Lilly introduces her as an old friend and tells Cole not to be afraid of her. Cole actually still remembers this in the present but has no reason to connect her to Jay when the two eventually meet.
Libber is essentially a ghost of a person, her hair is longer than it was when she was a kid and it's got white streaks in it, her eyes are now pale blue and distant. Whenever anybody comes to say hi they're greeted with Libber loudly crying out "Ice!" Because his name is the last thing she can remember even if she doesn't remember who it correlates to.
At 33 Libber passes away.
Jay likely doesn't remember it, at least not well, but when he's three his mom and dad take him to a funeral for a lady he's never met.

Her memory continues to degrade, she's having a hard time looking after Jay because of it she can't remember what she named him. It's bad. She had to have her own name tattooed onto her arm for herself.
By the time she's 30 she gives Jay to Edna because she knows that she's not capable enough to take care of him. and- and this is important- she gives both Edna and Wu the same instruction: do not tell Jay about her. She knows her powers are what has caused her memory issues (the electrical signals in her brain are getting scrambled with the ones of her powers) and she doesn't want Jay to grow up in fear of his element. They honor her request and keep silent about her.
She says goodbye to Edna for the last time, knowing that she won't see her again after this because she'll forget she ever existed. "Just forget about me E, I know I will"
Libber forgets about Jay within months and is checked into a hospital. Coincidentally it is the same one that Lilly is being treated for her chronic condition and cancer in.
