I was diagnosed with SMA (Type 1) when I was 6 months old. The doctors told my parents that I wasn't supposed to live to see my first birthday, but now I'm 25 years old & living my life to the fullest!!! I have a Trache & G-Tube. I'm on a Ventilator. I have a communication device called a Dynavox that I use the internet & communicate with. I'm very outgoing & social.
