What I did to start writing was I just wanted to write something so I just chose a random topic and then I started randomly writing that then lead me to genuinely really like the thing I came up with so I stoped writing and in my head I was like asking myself what plot points do I want to write into this and how am I going to include them into this story I came up with so many and I had to ask myself if I could write a cohesive story with all of these things eventually I found what I wanted to do and I knew how I wanted to write it and all I had to do was well actually write it other things I’ve done is just get inspired by a song and then try to write something from that with no plans whatsoever but my advice would be to pick a topic you like and you’ll have a good time writing and then go from there with outlining different plot points character relationships antagonists protagonists etc etc I hope this helped
