She remembered the last message she had ever sent him as just another fan-the one that ended everything she thought she felt, the one she never opened again after pressing send.
He was a closed book to her now, a shadow she no longer cared to chase. Her interest was completely gone, and she had already stepped out of the frame.
But for him, the story was just beginning.
As he stared down at the screen, a strange thing happened. It wasn't the artificial glare of the phone that lit up the room. Instead, his eyes began to glow in the dark-deep, bright, and alive-reflecting the sheer weight and magic of her words.
