oki so I made a lil research and here is my opinion, to improve William's description, try to focus on the physical weight and sensory disconnect of his legs while highlighting his internal struggle with dependency, showing how he regains his agency through the grit of 1940s rehabilitation at Stoke Mandeville.

            I  started  writing  as  a  way   to    continue   the  adventures  of   characters   I  loved   on   the  TV  series  The  Virginian ,  actually.
